Funding for two of these grants is through the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA).
David Vitter (R-La.) today announced that the Department of Justice will be awarding four grants totaling ,653,598 for programs providing legal services to victims of domestic violence, implementation of substance abuse programs, and assist forensic scientists.
“This funding will provide support for the most vulnerable in our communities – victims of domestic violence, those struggling with substance abuse, and folks who have had crimes committed against them,” said Vitter.
